Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound shaved steak
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shaved steak and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook until softened and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Split the hoagie rolls lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet. Layer each roll with the cooked shaved steak, caramelized onions, and 2 slices of provolone cheese.
  • Bake the sandwiches in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are lightly toasted.
  • Remove from the oven and serve the Philly cheesesteak sandwiches warm.
