Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Squeeze bottle or jar for storage

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 4 tsp chipotle powder; adjust for spicier taste
  • 2 tsp ranch seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp adobo sauce; more for extra spiciness
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Combine Ingredients: Place mayonnaise, sour cream, chipotle powder, ranch seasoning, minced garlic, lime juice, adobo sauce, sugar, and salt in a blender or food processor.
  • Blend: Pulse the ingredients until well blended. For a smoother sauce, blend on high until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Taste Test: Adjust spiciness and seasoning according to preference. Additional chipotle powder will make the sauce spicier while extra lime juice can enhance the tangy aspect.
  • Let Marinate: Transfer the sauce to a squeeze bottle or jar and let the sauce sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour before use to allow the flavors to marinate.
  • Serve or Store: Use the sauce immediately to add a flavorful kick to sandwiches and salads, or store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
