Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Optional: 2 tbsp granulated sugar + ½ tsp cinnamon for rolling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Optional: Roll dough balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture for extra flavor.
  • Place dough balls on baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  • Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are lightly golden but centers are soft.
  • Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack
