Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup optional for thickness
  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons water for slurry
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, chili garlic sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to form a slurry.
  • Add the slurry to the sauce and whisk continuously until it thickens.
  • Stir in sesame oil for a glossy finish.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before using.
  • Toss with fried or baked chicken wings and serve immediately.
