Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ½ cup sugar or honey for variation
  • ½ cup vinegar white or apple cider
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce like Frank’s RedHot
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper optional, for heat
  • ½ cup water

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, combine ketchup, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and hot sauce.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne.
  • Add water and whisk until smooth.
  • Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  • Cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness, tang, or spice as desired.
  • Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and serve warm or chilled.
