Ingredients
  

  • 2 large cucumbers English or Persian, thinly sliced
  • ½ red onion thinly sliced
  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt, or mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced (or ½ tsp garlic powder)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Slice the Cucumbers and Onion: Thinly slice the cucumbers and red onion. If using cucumbers with waxy skin, peel them first.
  • Prepare the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, lemon juice, dill, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Combine: Place sliced cucumbers and onions in a large mixing bowl. Pour the dressing over the veggies.
  • Toss: Gently toss the salad until the cucumbers and onions are coated with dressing.
  • Chill: Refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  • Serve: Give it a final stir, taste, and adjust seasonings if needed before serving.
