- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ lb Italian sausage casings removed
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1½ cups pizza sauce or marinara sauce
- 1 pre-made deep-dish pie crust or homemade
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook ground beef and sausage over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté until softened.
Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Place the pie crust into a deep-dish pan and spoon half of the meat mixture into it.
Add a layer of pepperoni and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Repeat with remaining meat mixture, pepperoni, and cheese.
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
