Ingredients
  

  • Boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • Guajillo chilies
  • Chili powder
  • Cumin
  • Cinnamon
  • Bay leaves
  • Fresh garlic
  • Chopped onions
  • Cilantro
  • Beef broth
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Hawaiian rolls
  • Diced onions for garnish
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Marinade: In a pot, combine beef broth, guajillo chilies, chili powder, cumin, cinnamon, bay leaves, garlic, and onion. Simmer, then blend until smooth.
  • Cook the Chicken: Add chicken to the pot, pour the marinade over, and cook until the chicken is tender (use a slow cooker for more flavor or cook in a pot).
  • Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, shred the chicken and mix it back into the sauce.
  • Assemble the Sliders: Toast the Hawaiian rolls, then add the shredded chicken, top with diced onions and cilantro, and cover with the top bun.
