- Focaccia Dough:
- 2 cups bread flour
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast or instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- Garlic Butter Topping:
- ½ cup salted butter
- 4 cloves garlic finely minced
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons parsley chopped
- Sea salt rosemary, and red pepper flakes to taste
In a mixing bowl, whisk together bread flour, kosher salt, and yeast. Add lukewarm water and honey, stirring to form dough. Knead until smooth, then let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, stretching it to fit a baking tray.
In a small pan, melt butter and stir in minced garlic and parsley. Spread the garlic butter over the dough, then sprinkle with sea salt, rosemary, and red pepper flakes.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let the focaccia cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
