- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves roasted or minced fresh
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half for lighter version
- ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp fresh parsley chopped (optional garnish)
Melt butter with olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add garlic and sauté for 2–3 minutes (or roast beforehand for milder flavor).
Pour in broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream and reduce heat to low.
Add Parmesan cheese, whisking until melted and sauce thickens.
