- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt adjust to taste
- ½ cup chicken broth or water
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley or basil chopped (for garnish)
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add onion and sauté 4–5 minutes until softened.
Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add ground turkey; cook until browned, breaking into small pieces.
Stir in tomato paste, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
Pour in crushed tomatoes and chicken broth; mix well.
Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Adjust seasoning if needed.
