- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 4 sausage patties
- 4 large eggs
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1 tbsp butter for cooking
In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and maple syrup. Mix until smooth.
Heat skillet over medium heat, grease lightly, and pour small pancake rounds.
Cook until bubbles form, flip, and cook until golden brown. Repeat to make 8 pancakes.
Cook sausage patties in skillet until fully browned and cooked through.
In the same skillet, melt butter and cook eggs (round shape preferred).
Place a slice of cheese on each sausage patty to melt slightly.
Assemble: Pancake → sausage & cheese → egg → pancake.
Serve warm with extra maple syrup if desired.
