Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 4 sausage patties
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter for cooking

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and maple syrup. Mix until smooth.
  • Heat skillet over medium heat, grease lightly, and pour small pancake rounds.
  • Cook until bubbles form, flip, and cook until golden brown. Repeat to make 8 pancakes.
  • Cook sausage patties in skillet until fully browned and cooked through.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and cook eggs (round shape preferred).
  • Place a slice of cheese on each sausage patty to melt slightly.
  • Assemble: Pancake → sausage & cheese → egg → pancake.
  • Serve warm with extra maple syrup if desired.
