Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Basil and parsley to taste
  • 9 lasagna sheets homemade or no-boil
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • Salt and Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot; sauté garlic until golden. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, chopped tomatoes, basil, and parsley. Simmer to make a rich meat sauce.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, and gradually add milk to create a smooth béchamel sauce. Season with salt.
  • Spread a ladle of meat sauce in a baking dish. Layer lasagna noodles, sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Repeat layers 3-4 times.
  • Top with remaining sauce and cheese. Bake at 375°F for 45 minutes until bubbly and golden. Cool before serving.
