Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef or pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Butter optional, for toasting bread

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Meatballs: Mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Shape into meatballs and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  • Cook Sauce: Simmer marinara sauce in a saucepan for 10 minutes.
  • Toast Rolls: Slice hoagie rolls, spread with butter, and toast until golden.
  • Assemble Subs: Add meatballs to the rolls, top with marinara sauce and cheese.
  • Melt Cheese: Broil assembled subs until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
