Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked pulled pork BBQ-style
  • 2 cups macaroni pasta
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 brioche or hamburger buns
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce plus extra for topping
  • Optional: pickles crispy onions, or coleslaw for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook the macaroni in salted water according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour to make a roux.
  • Slowly add milk and cream, whisking until smooth and thickened.
  • Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and creamy; season with salt and pepper.
  • Combine cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce to make mac & cheese.
  • Heat pulled pork in a skillet with BBQ sauce until warm and slightly caramelized.
  • Toast brioche buns on a grill pan or toaster.
  • Layer the bottom bun with pulled pork, then a generous scoop of mac & cheese.
  • Add extra BBQ sauce if desired, top with crispy onions or pickles, and close with the top bun.
  • Serve warm and enjoy the cheesy, smoky goodness!
