Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground pork 80–85% lean
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp sage dried
  • ¼ tsp thyme dried
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • tsp nutmeg optional
  • 1 tbsp water for moisture

Instructions
 

  • Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine ground pork, salt, pepper, sage, thyme, red pepper flakes, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, nutmeg, and water.
  • Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and flatten into 3–4 inch patties.
  • Chill (optional): Place patties on parchment paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes for better shape retention.
  • Cook Patties: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side or until browned and cooked through (internal temp 160°F / 71°C).
  • Drain & Serve: Place on paper towels to remove excess grease. Serve hot with eggs, cheese, and an English muffin for a McDonald’s-style breakfast sandwich.
