Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half for lighter option
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese freshly grated preferred
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of nutmeg optional
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil optional for richness

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (do not burn).
  • Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add black pepper and nutmeg, stirring continuously.
  • Simmer 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens.
  • Taste and adjust salt as needed.
  • Serve hot over pasta, chicken, or vegetables.
