- ⅓ cup honey or brown sugar
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water slurry
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tsp chili flakes optional, for heat
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
Add the cornstarch slurry, whisking until sauce thickens.
Sprinkle in toasted sesame seeds and chili flakes if using.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Toss with crispy chicken, drizzle over rice bowls, or use as a stir-fry sauce.
