Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 4 slices cheddar or pepper jack cheese
  • 4 brioche or burger buns
  • 2 tbsp butter for buns
  • Toppings: lettuce tomato, pickles, onions (optional)
  • Condiments: mayonnaise ketchup, or spicy aioli

Instructions
 

  • Preheat smoker or grill to 225°F.
  • In a bowl, combine ground beef with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently.
  • Form into 4 equal burger patties.
  • Place patties in the smoker and cook until internal temperature reaches 135°F (for medium), about 45–60 minutes.
  • Top each patty with a slice of cheese and let it melt.
  • Toast buns on a skillet or grill with butter until golden.
  • Assemble burgers with your favorite toppings and condiments.
  • Serve hot and enjoy smoky, cheesy Cajun goodness!
