- 1 ½ lbs ground beef 80/20 blend recommended
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 4 slices cheddar or pepper jack cheese
- 4 brioche or burger buns
- 2 tbsp butter for buns
- Toppings: lettuce tomato, pickles, onions (optional)
- Condiments: mayonnaise ketchup, or spicy aioli
Preheat smoker or grill to 225°F.
In a bowl, combine ground beef with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently.
Form into 4 equal burger patties.
Place patties in the smoker and cook until internal temperature reaches 135°F (for medium), about 45–60 minutes.
