Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450g ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 –2 fresh jalapeños finely diced
  • 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce tomato, red onion, pickles, BBQ sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your grill or smoker to medium-high heat (about 375°F/190°C).
  • In a bowl, combine ground beef, diced jalapeños, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until combined.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
  • Grill patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of smoked cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  • Toast burger buns lightly on the grill.
  • Assemble burgers with your favorite toppings and serve hot.
