- 1 lb 450g ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 –2 fresh jalapeños finely diced
- 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 burger buns
- Optional toppings: lettuce tomato, red onion, pickles, BBQ sauce
Preheat your grill or smoker to medium-high heat (about 375°F/190°C).
In a bowl, combine ground beef, diced jalapeños, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until combined.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
Grill patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of smoked cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
Toast burger buns lightly on the grill.
Assemble burgers with your favorite toppings and serve hot.
