- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- ½ cup unsalted butter softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup apple cider reduced for richer flavor if desired
- ½ cup applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional glaze: ½ cup powdered sugar + 1–2 tbsp apple cider
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla, applesauce, and apple cider.
Gradually fold in dry ingredients until combined.

Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
