- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Raspberry or apricot jam
- Optional: chopped nuts pecans, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, then beat until smooth.
Gradually mix in flour and salt until dough forms.
Form 1-inch dough balls and roll in chopped nuts if using.
Place on baking sheet and press a small well into each.
Fill wells with jam and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
