Ingredients
  

  • 1 pie crust homemade or store-bought
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyère
  • 1 cup add-ins spinach, mushrooms, ham, or bacon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  • Sprinkle cheese and chosen add-ins evenly into the crust.
  • Pour egg mixture over the filling.
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
  • Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
