- 1 pie crust homemade or store-bought
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyère
- 1 cup add-ins spinach, mushrooms, ham, or bacon
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp nutmeg optional
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll out pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
Sprinkle cheese and chosen add-ins evenly into the crust.
Pour egg mixture over the filling.
Bake for 35–45 minutes, until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
